System Tray Icon Color Fix
This is really for those with Windows 95, 98SE or 2000. Unless you want to learn something, you can stop reading now.
So this has been annoying me a little. My system tray icons were only High Color (16 bit) but screen resolution was True Color (32 bit). Seems there a small bug in Windows. Yes, in Windows. I know, I know. I couldn’t believe it myself.

The sample pics are a good example of how my icons were. For those who can’t picture in your minds what 16 bits looks like. I checked out his tester app. It just added a icon of the color palette in the tray. Which is pictured between the WinAmp icon and time.
I ran the ActiveX control, rebooted and everything was fine afterwards. I did have to change my settings in IE to download the ActiveX. It’s all explained on the download page. I also HAD to use IE to download and run the ActiveX control, stupid IE.
I also, don’t suggest you just start downloading, installing or running any ol’ ActiveX now just because you saw this one work for me.
