I thought he should have been given the death penalty. But that’s just me, and admittedly, I love pitbulls, and I have believed, for quite some time that if someone is found guilty of running or financing a pitbull fighting operation, or participating in pitbull fights that said individual(s) should be given the death penalty.

I’m not a fan of beating up on animals, except for cats, they deserve it, but anything over a year is fine to me. Five seems a little extreme.

I mean what person would feed and care for an animal for years and then the next day just lead it to it’s own demise. I hate to say but this is another case of Cutesism, again. Dog is to Cow as Dolphin is to Tuna.

And no comments about how it was dogfighting. Farmers would do the same thing with cows if they just didn’t stand in the middle of the ring and eat grass.

A side note. With the interview with Arthur Blank, the Atlanta Falcons owner and CEO, his slipped a little bit. Nothing I would be offended by but, I’m sure you’ll hear about it on the news.

Talking about Vick staying in shape during his off time, Blank said, “If Michael makes a mistake and eats fried chicken and French fries everyday he could come out weighing 250 pounds and he won’t be able to play football.”

I chuckled, no one around me heard the comment. That’s what makes me think it’s going to be a big deal. You can’t make fun of a black man in jail. The joke already wrote itself.

As for the fried chicken comment. I heard it talked about here and there but, no one was really in a huff. Every one besides Jim Rome. Then again, maybe he needs the attention. For being, not just a white guy but, the ONLY guy offended. Un-believable.

Just for the record, I don’t watch modern-day minstrel shows like Flava’ of Love and I Love New York 2, not intentionally anyway and by that I mean, I’ll be flippin’ channels, and I’ll land on one or the other, I’ll stop for a few appalling seconds, shake my head, and then resume flipping. They’re like train wrecks really, and I don’t like consciously being involved in stuff that perpetuates negative ethnic and cultural stereotypes. Honestly, I can’t believe people follow those shows, but I recon they do …

Speaking of Jesse, Al and let’s not leave Calypso Louie out, WHY THE FUCK haven’t they started protesting these shows? Probably like you said, they’re far too busy trafficking human misery in “safer” climates to care.

I’ve never seen the Brett Michaels’ show but I did hear about it. I’d imagine that a lot of trailer trash came out to try and win his heart and his money. Or to at least ride his coattails.

I view the contestants on shows like that as vultures, male or female.

Oh, and then there’s that myspace whore Tila Tequila. Don’t even get me started on her.

So far as Vick is concerned, however much time he spends in jail is irrelevant as, he’ll probably be too busy signing autographs to care much about where he is. Unless of course, his cell block is filled with cons who hate on the Falcons all the time.
