and since you mention “guilty pleasures”….i don’t think the Hills or anything else on regularly scheduled programming is considered a guilty pleasure. Now the program I purchased on On Demand last night definitely falls into that category….

Yeah, I can’t stand that broad [Tila Tequila] … or pretty much anybody else who stars in those kinds of shows, which sucks because I always did enjoy Flava Flav back in the P.E. days.

Just for the record, I don’t watch modern-day minstrel shows like Flava’ of Love and I Love New York 2, not intentionally anyway and by that I mean, I’ll be flippin’ channels, and I’ll land on one or the other, I’ll stop for a few appalling seconds, shake my head, and then resume flipping. They’re like train wrecks really, and I don’t like consciously being involved in stuff that perpetuates negative ethnic and cultural stereotypes. Honestly, I can’t believe people follow those shows, but I recon they do …

Speaking of Jesse, Al and let’s not leave Calypso Louie out, WHY THE FUCK haven’t they started protesting these shows? Probably like you said, they’re far too busy trafficking human misery in “safer” climates to care.

I’ve never seen the Brett Michaels’ show but I did hear about it. I’d imagine that a lot of trailer trash came out to try and win his heart and his money. Or to at least ride his coattails.

I view the contestants on shows like that as vultures, male or female.

Oh, and then there’s that myspace whore Tila Tequila. Don’t even get me started on her.

So far as Vick is concerned, however much time he spends in jail is irrelevant as, he’ll probably be too busy signing autographs to care much about where he is. Unless of course, his cell block is filled with cons who hate on the Falcons all the time.

Cultural? First off. I thought Americans have no culture. According to every other culture, I think. Maybe it’s not the greatest. Hot dogs, hamburgers, football, baseball and beer. Now I think about it, it’s pretty damn good. I dare you to find someone that doesn’t at least like one of those things.

Another thing that bugs me. Roddy White. #84 wide receiver for the Falcons. After his Touchdown he pulled up his jersey to show a “Free Mike Vick” T-shirt. Free him? This isn’t Nelson Mandela. Vick admittedly committed a known crime. Enough said.
