Reminds me of the blue bicycles that started in the downtown area of Ft. Lauderdale about 15 years ago. Apparently, some artsy fartsies from the Art Institute decided it would be cool to spraypaint bikes and leave them chained up around the city. It started with 3, then spread to hendreds. Once the "I wish I was as creative as those people" people started to catch on, they would copy the originals with different kinds of bikes and put them in their yards to make a statement. Bikes.
