Since I have a hard time doing push ups, ah hell, a push up, I figured I’d give this program a try along with my Couch to 5K plan.

I just completed my “initial test”. Yea, I suck, 4. Although that’s 3 more than I expected to do. I’ve never really been known for upper body strength. I played soccer, which is all legs, and hockey, which is all leverage.
David and I did a little drunken pushup contest a few weeks ago and I guess I rank a 4(barely) on that list, but it would take weeks to be able to do 100. I doubt 14 days could possibly do it. The stomach muscles are the hardest part of a pushup for me.
I had to take the test. I did 6 but give me 4 weeks I will have the 100 push ups down…
I was reading this and thinking to myself that it shouldn’t be that hard. I did 32, and I am a fat ass. Good form, chest to the ground. Although, we used to have to do at least 3 sets of 60 everyday at practice in college (15 years ago). But that was 15 years ago. How about this, every time you sit in front of the TV, during a commercial do 15 push ups and 15 sit ups.
I can do about 10-12 before collapsing in exhaustion. Back about 4 1/2 years ago when I did them consistently 3-4 times a week I could manage about 50… but it hurt real bad. I should really start doing them daily and buildup again. Just like I should workout out consistently, jog and stop drinking all the time. Or maybe I’ll just watch some more TV.
