I can’t think of a more unexciting Super Bowl match up since, well, since I’ve been paying attention to the NFL.
I’m not vested in either team. Minus the following two points. Steelers fans annoy me and the Cardinals are in the same division my beloved Rams are in. That being said, you can see why I’d like to see both teams lose. Maybe they can tie! I dunno, I’ll ask my friend Donovan. He might know.
In hopes of a great game is the reason I’ll be watching. Even the commercials in the past years have been failures. They just reply the old ones now. Count the number of times you watch a horse kick a field goal. They just might replay the old Mean Joe Green old. Well it’s a classic, and they don’t have any good new ones. Then again, Mean Joe was a Steeler. But that don’t give them a free pass to stop being creative. Entertain me, bitches!
So, in lue of all that, I’m going to pick… well, Arizona is getting 7. The O/U is 47. Vegas says 27-20, PIT?
The Steelers have tightened up their defense in the 2nd half of the season holding opponents to under 20 points. The Cardinals on some days can go out and score 30+ on you to make you beat them. The Steelers haven’t really been tested to much against a high powered offense this year. The Cardinals have a couple of games that they’ve picked about the defense. Some games only lost because the Cardinals defense was picked apart more. Big Ben isn’t that flashy “I know what I’m doing, let me call the plays” type. Warren is the better field general. The game won’t be about who has the better defense. It will be more about which defense can slow the opposing offense down faster and force them to punt into good field position.
I’m going with the exact opposite of Vegas. Arizona by 7.

I’ve recently turned a friends resume from a .doc file to a web based resume. Thinking at that poing, that I should review mine and update it if need be. After forgetting about it for a week now, this stumbled across my Internet browsing path today.
I’ve read crap about how to build a resume and it’s all been the same. This actually gives a better insight of what to do and not do.
Some friends have told me that you should paste every buzzword you can think of in a resume. I’ve never understood how that makes you different from those who’ve done the same.
The only bad part about this article is that I can’t just cut & paste into my resume but, it just might make me seem more professional than I really am.

I guess I’ll break down the Conference games out of sheer boredom. Don’t get me wrong I’ll watch just because they’re NFL games but, I could care less who wins. Besides, talking about off-season football coaching interviews would even put me to sleep. So, I won’t talk about that.
If I had to choose today, one of the remaining teams to root for to win it all, I’m not sure. I have friends that like each of the teams playing for a shot at the Super Bowl. I won’t be betting, I won’t be cheering. Mainly, I’d like to see two shootouts and less defense. Kinda like in Super Techmo Bowl when you sent your two wide outs on go routes, the defenders didn’t follow and you waited 10 seconds to throw a 60 yard bomb.
Good, now that we know that I’m not biased. I can go over the games.
Ravens at Steelers. Two big defenses. PIT the top ranked D of the year and BAL’s apperent scaring-the-other-playoff-teams D. For the Steelers, I’d assume more pressure of Flacco to force bad throws rather than double covering receivers. On the other side, watch the to Suggs show to begin. I expect him to lead both teams in tackles and pull at least one INT. Now I say that, he’ll pull a hamstring in warm-ups and not be a factor. As for Lewis, he has his moments but it seems he only gets one good hit in a game. This game really, I think, comes down to who can establish any sort of run game with the advantage going to Willie. He seems to slip through traffic a little easier than Willis. Obviously controlling the ground game opens up the air attack. Not that you’ll see any 300+ passing yard. I see the potential for a lot of 3rd and longs for both teams. As for the QB position, I think Ben’s gun-ho mistakes will be matched by, if any, Joe’s rookie mistakes. Watch for Ben to only throw deep on 1st & 2nd’s as opposed to Joe only throwing deep shots from midfield. When it’s all said and done, I’m looking at Pittsburgh to advance. I’d say by a field goal in the 4th but I can see a PIT pick-six to go up and win by 10.
Eagles at Cardinals. This one just comes down to which offense won’t turn the ball over. James is splitting time with Hightower and Westbrook is better than them combined. Warner and McNabb have both once been to the Super Bowl within the past 10 years. Their only differences being, Kurt didn’t throw-up in the middle of the field and Donovan didn’t raise the Lombardi Trophy over his head. As apposed to the AFC game, this game will see over 500+ yards combined. Maybe even 600+. PHI’s defense seems to play a little dirtier than others around the league, starting with the head hunter Dawkins. Expect a bit of trash talking after the whistle blows from the Eagles side. AZ’s defense hasn’t been flashy but was in place to make plays when it counted. Definitely shown during their last game against Carolina (5 picks, 1 forced fumble). I think this game comes down to who can actually hold on to make a catch. A day of dropped ball will kill either teams game plan since neither can really rely on their running game. Although Philly has out of the backfield speed with tosses to Westbrook and break out speed with the rookie Jackson on deep slants, ‘Zona has been a little to smart and a little to accurate to just start handing the ball over by air. I feel Warner will keep calm throughout the game regardless of the score. If McNabb gets behind, not by 3 but more by 7, watch for him trying and force plays. Eventually handing the ball over with ease. Seems you may have already guessed my prediction. Cardinals by 17.

One reason I’m upset that I don’t have a camera phone is because I can’t share the celebrity look-a-likes at my place of employment. I usually like to play this game in public when I get bored. But there are three people I see on a daily basis that are celebrity twins.
First is this one guy that sits not to far from me. He reminds me of a Vogon from the movie Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. He walks all slow and has the same back hump. I don’t know if he writes poetry. But if he did, you’d know how good it’d be.
Secondly, we have a WWF classic. Outside smoking everyday I see Captain Lou Albano. Minus the rubber bands. If he had them in, I’d hi-five him every time I’d see him.
Finally, and just to piss me off, there’s Omar Epps. The guy, from what I can tell is cool. I never have really talked to him but he seems nice enough. I’m just upset because Omar Epps probably get poon thrown at him on an hourly basis and this guy must get it atleast on a daily just for the mere fact his almost a spitting image of Epps.
I know this could had been better with some comparison photos. I’ll see what I can do. There’s nothing stopping you from posting yours though.

I overheard a couple of people talking about this movie at work today. I didn’t hear any specific opinions about the movie but the fact that I heard the movie mentioned, surprised me. So I thought I’d write a small review.
I haven’t reviewed a movie in a while. I figured, “Why not? People need to have my view push upon them!” Here we go.
Clint Eastwood is getting old. And if your a fan of Brian Haley, it won’t make a difference. I looked up Brian Haley on IMDB to get a “I-remember-him-from-that-show” reference but, he’s been on a lot of random crap. I only really remember him from his Nazi marching stand-up on Caroline’s Comedy Hour. OK, enough about Haley.
If you like Gran Torino’s, you won’t see too many scenes with one. Why would you like this movie? I don’t know. The story moves a little slow. There’s no surprise twists. But if you enjoy old man racism, you’ll love Gran Torino. Everyone once in a while Eastwood will drop a racist one-liner to make me chuckle.
Either you’ll like or hate this movie. I’m not sure what the barometer is. I thought it was decent. I’ll give this movie close to a B- equivalent, weather that be “3-1/2 stars” or “wait for it on cable”.
