Top Draft Busts of the Modern Era

With the NFL Draft this weekend this article was appropriate, I certainly found it interesting.

The Redskins only made the list once (Schuler)…. But the front page of the article was so appropriate. An OT that Green Bay picked up number 2 in the overall draft in 89. Because he was so much better than Barry Sanders, so good I forgot his name in the 90 seconds it’s taken me to write this. Anyway it was a trip down memory lane…

File Recovery Software

I normally don’t advertise software programs, unless they are free and useful.

I found a this web site last night.

It is freeware that allows you to recover lost files. I had a logical drive that I lost during a reinstall of windows about a year ago. I’ve never re-formatted it because I had about 500 MP3’s on there that I knew I wanted to sit down and try to recover at some point. Before downloading this software program I had downloaded some trial software from other sites, they all let you see what is there to revocer but won’t allow you to recover it without purchasing an activation key (about 60).

Well I found this site, installed this software and had all my MP3’s back inside of 15 minutes. Check it out if you have a use for it.

Sound System for PC

Well I need some advise for a decent sound system for my PC. I’ve been doing some upgrades, nearly at a gig of ram, new Plextor DVD RW.

My sound board is pretty standard, built into the Motherboard, which is now discontinued. Says somethign about 6 channel audio but it really doesn’t meet my needs as the white noise is pretty bad.

What I’d like to do next is do a hard drive upgrade, probably up to 200 gigs, new speakers and new sound system. Just don’t know what sound system to get. Something I can play with, with input options.

Nothing as fancy as what Neb has, but something high end for the layman.

Save Toby

I found a new way to make easy money.

My Conscience dictates I can not use my own pet, also my desire to not sleep on the couch.

So does anyone have a small animal that I can take a couple of photographs with?

Boofer can do the site and I’ll split the profits.

Upload Error

“GD image library not available” when I try to upload pics to my album.

FYI

Go get new Winamp

Something came out over the SANS wire this morning that described a critical vulnerability in WINAMP.

SANS either exagerated it or WINAMP down played it but go get the new version and be safe.

Bottom of the pile

How it feels at the bottom of the pile.

Ever wonder what goes on at the bottom of a fumble pile?

Alan Faneca, Steelers Guard

Two guys were pulling my arms apart. A guy was digging into my ribs. Another guy was digging into my ear.

IKE REESE, Eagles Linebacker

[Patriots linebacker] Mike Vrabel had my testicles in his hand, and he was squeezing them.

BEN LEBER, Chargers Linebacker

The go-to spots are the eyes and the family jewels. If anybody grabs your family jewels, you are going to let go.

No owens?

Doctor won’t clear Terrell

Terrell Owens’ doctor said Tuesday he will not give the All-Pro receiver clearance to play in the Super Bowl…cont

Aw shucks.

My favorite quote from the article.

“Owens was back on the sideline against the Falcons, only this time he served as head cheerleader, flapping his arms, waving a towel and encouraging the crowd to make more noise. He jogged onto the field and pumped up the crowd during pregame introductions, and jumped around on the bench during the game.”

Maybe that can be an alternate career for him if he doesn’t get better. He can stand on the sidelines of the meadowlands trying to pick Snoop off with a rifle.

Who would take Moss?

So not only is Minessota trying to dump Randy Moss, the owner wnats to sell the team.

I’m sure finding an owner for the Vikings will be far easier than finding a team to take Moss. Over the past several weeks on every sports program I’ve watched, some very good personnel people have been asked if they would want him on their team. The common answer…NO.

So lets see.

They most likely (having a brain in their head) won’t trade him inside the division.

Snyder will want him, Gibbs will say no.

Davis will want him, Turner might. We hope he would say no, but demonstrated a tolerance for talent over professionalism with Michael Westbrook. Some of you guys that have lived here during that time can probably offer more insight, as on the west coast I only got to see him blow up and never the organizations reactions.

The Ravens have established a tolerance for convicts, so certainly Randy Moss wouldn’t be reaching too far out. After all they did initialy trade for Owens. The only difference between Owens and Moss is, I’ve never seen Owens walk out of a stadium before the game was over leaving his team on the field.

The Giants might want someone that little Eli can throw too. Face it, the NFC East is a tough division and they need a leg up at this point.

The Eagles want the sun and the stars and when they lose to the Patriots in two weeks will be evaluating their offseason needs. Can the egos of Owens and Moss fit in the same locker room? What about the Fros of Moss and McNabb?

St. Louis? Two words Leonard Little. I give credit, despite his off field problems he plays a good clean game.

Right now I say ravens. We will see.
