2G iPod Touch

After the iPhone has already been out for a couple months now, Apple finally brings out a new iPod Touch and gives it a price drop. Last week you could buy a 32GB iPhone for $299 but the 32GB iPod Touch was $399. Stupid.

Differences between the 1g and 2g? Nothing big or worth upgrading for. Some Nike+iPod crap, a built-in speaker, and iTunes 8 compatibility. It’s also a little smaller and lighter with a longer battery life. Only and extra hour of video playtime but audio goes from 22 to 36 hours. I think I’ll be OK with a limited 22 hours.

The only other thing I can think of is that there’s a rumor that the 2G might be able to support a microphone.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik

Will be a fully downloadable album for Rock Band? Ha! Sir Psycho Sexy that it me, some times I feel I need to scream. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Lollipops told me this info. I just repeat after him.

Actually it should be pretty fun. You’ve got classics such as, Suck My Kiss, Give it Away, Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Under the Bridge and of course one of my favorites, Breaking the Girl.

Main question is, is it all censored? Cause that wouldn’t kinda suck, just really suck.

I’m also looking forward to watching everyone play They’re Red Hot for the first time. Even more curious to watch C-Tal fail on the lyrics.

PS3 Repair

Well, I bought a PS3 to play Madden really. Since the PC version was “current-gen”, which be called “previous-gen” because “next-gen” is the “current-gen”. Anyways. It was a good decision on my part because it turns out 08 was the last time PC would see Madden.

Turns out, since I haven’t played any games in some time, minus downloadable demo games, my PS3 has lost the ablitly to read discs. You know… DVD, games, maybe Blu-Ray’s also, I don’t know, I don’t own any Blu-Ray’s.

I guess we had a clue it was broke when Neb tried to play the mosquito catcher installation DVD with no luck in the PS3. I think we just wrote it off as a shitty DVD.

So August 12th comes around. I buy Madden 09 during lunch. I get home to realize it’s not working. Call Sony. They ask for 150 buck. I give them the ol’ thats not fair routine. They don’t care. I call back the next day and give them more money.

The lady on the phone said it would be around 7-9 days of turn around. Hopefully she’s wrong and it’s less. But with me saying that it’ll take over a month.

So, Basically I just wanted to outline the repair process.

08/12 – Called Sony. They ask for $150.
08/13 – Try to find a way to get it fixed for free.
08/14 – Call Sony back. They ask for $150. I give them $150.
08/19 – Receive the Sony coffin. Pack up PS3. Chase down UPS drive.
08/20 – Sony receives PS3. I’m confused of how fast that was.

Favre Remains a Packer

…on the cover of Madden 09.
When the latest edition of the football video game franchise is released Tuesday, it will still feature the quarterback in his Green Bay Packers uniform — despite the fact Favre was traded to the New York Jets.

But publisher Electronic Arts said it was releasing a downloadable update to make Favre a Jet in the game, as well as new cover art for anyone who wants it.

“We do not plan to reissue packaging but will offer a free downloadable cover in the coming days on easports.com featuring Brett Favre in a Jets uniform,” EA Sports said in a statement released Thursday. “Fans can print this new cover out and insert it into the case of ‘Madden NFL 09.”‘

EA Sports will release a free downloadable update to the game with the Favre character as a Jet — and any other player who signs as a free agent or moves teams — before the start of the regular season. But “Madden NFL 09″ will be released Tuesday with the Favre character as a Packer on all-time greats team.

The Packers traded their three-time MVP and Super Bowl-winning quarterback to the Jets on Wednesday, ending months of speculation over Favre’s future after he announced he was retiring in March. EA Sports originally unveiled Favre as the cover athlete for the 20th edition of the “Madden” game in April.
EA is sooo lazy. Come on! Recall dem sum bitches. Making me use company paper and ink.

I bought some running shows from them after calling around to all the shoe stores in all the local malls.

17 hour delivery when I expected 3 to 4 days. Shepherdsville, KY to Washington, DC is a 9 1/2 hour drive by car.

I might just buy from there again.

Google Reader & CraigsList

Here’s a quick and painless way to search CraigsList. Some of you guys already use RSS readers. I kinda like Google’s. It’s web based and I can check from anywhere, duh. It’s right there so, I also check it after I check my email.

Here’s a quick and dirty example of how I set up a search.

1) Go to crazedlist.org. If you don’t know what crazedlist is, shame on you. For you morons, it lets you search multiple CraigsList regions at once.

2) Learn how to use keywords. For example, if you wanna find images of cute dogs just like yours on Google Images, don’t search for “doggie”. If you then think that because you dog is black, and that narrowing your search down to “black doggie” will help, it won’t.

I’m going to search for mopeds. So, my keywords will be “moped”. But I don’t want scooters. So now it’s “moped -scooter”. I also don’t want a moped that needs work or engine or paint. Now I’m at “moped -scooter -needs”. Nothing should be stuck, “moped -scooter -needs -stuck”. And I want it to be 49cc or 50cc not 100cc or 110cc. “moped -scooter -needs -stuck -100cc -110cc”. A listing might not mention the cc’s but if it does, I don’t want 100cc or 110cc, that’s why I excluded those.

Now we have our keywords…

3) Select you category and sub category if you so wish. Mine is “sale/wanted” and “motercycle/scooter”. Add your min and max also if you want. I didn’t. I also left “pics” and “titles only” unchecked.

4) Select the regions you wish to search. I figured a search of the surrounding states would be OK. To quick select those, in the “select…” dropdown I selected “north east”. Then unchecked CT, MA, ME, NH, NY, RI and VT. I find it easier to spot and remove the highlighted and selected items that it is to hunt and check all the unselected states. Clicking the states link itself checks/unchecks the whole state. I then added NC for the hell of it, since it’s close by, sorta.

5) Click the orange “Get RSS Feed” button.

6) You then should see a “To get the OPML file right-click on this link to Save Link As…“. Do that. I’m saving mine as “moped.opml”. Like the directions say, it might default to something like “index.cgi”. Change it to “whatever.opml”.

7) Now go over to Google Reader. Log in if needed. Create an account if needed.

8) In the upper right hand corner click “Settings”. Then click the “Import/Export” tab.

9) Select your “.opml” file and upload.

10) Now that your subscriptions are all imported. Go to the “Subscriptions” tab.

11) In the top right hand corner there is a text box that helps you filter the subscriptions listed. Filter your list by entering the a keyword you just looked up. Mine being “moped”. I now have 52 subscriptions listed.

12) Along the right hand side on ever listing there’s a dropdown labled “Add to a folder…”. Click on that and choose “New Folder…”. Call it whatever. Mine is “Mopeds”.

13) Under the tabs there are a couple links. Click “All ?? subscriptions” to select all the listed subscriptions.

14) After all your subscriptions are checked, in the “More actions…” dropdown, select the folder name you just created under “Add tag…”. To the right, under each “Add to a folder…”, you should see the folder/tag name in grey.

Now if you go back to the reader home page, you’ll see your folder with all the different subscriptions listed. And your done.

No Kicks on Route 66?

Anyone else notice how Google Maps never uses I-66 as road to travel on? It can’t be because of the HOV restrictions. That would be super mega happy retarded.

Ex-Boyfriend Jewlery (dot) com

Looks like all the whores have now found a web site to gather to. Classy, huh? If I had a reason to buy a ring, tell me why I wouldn’t think about this site. Yes, some fuck got his heart broken and his money taken but, these broads don’t know the value. I’d take full advantage of some slut. Plus it’s got retro art. Idea theivers!

JQuery: FancyBox

FancyBox? No! It’s not the script on my mom’s new Tupac style “Thug Life” tattoo with an additional arrow pointing downwards.

It’s another lightbox clone but I think it might be a fancyzoom clone. I dunno, who cares, I didn’t have to write it, and it’s pretty. I just pointed Mav to fancyzoom the other day for an image gallery he was slapping together. IT’s easy to get working and so is this one. I think this should replace any implementations of fancyzoom. It looks the same as fancyzoom but has better options: nicer title support, color overlays, animated & non-animated popups, IE pngfix already incorporated, image set support (aka previous/next) and some iframe support if you want. Check out few demos on the web site.

P.S. That’s got to be the gayest picture of Tupac ever.
