Ex-Boyfriend Jewlery (dot) com

Looks like all the whores have now found a web site to gather to. Classy, huh? If I had a reason to buy a ring, tell me why I wouldn’t think about this site. Yes, some fuck got his heart broken and his money taken but, these broads don’t know the value. I’d take full advantage of some slut. Plus it’s got retro art. Idea theivers!

Hockey Webcasts

I guess I found this site a little late in the session but next session I’ll take more advantage of it.

With the help of SopCast and VLC you can stream pretty much any live hockey game. Here’s a sample of the quality…

Bit rate: 204Kbps
Video Size: 256 x 192
Audio Codec: MPEG Audio Layer 3
Video Codec: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC

Yea, if that confused you, it’s like a YouTube video. Double-sized or full-screen from 10 feet away is comparable to your standard analog. Eh, it’s better than nothing.

The site has YouTube links for ever games highlights. You can also watched archived games with Joost. Which I haven’t installed.

The only small issue I see is, when I was watching the Caps get their asses handed to them by Chicago, the guy who was streaming the game flipped over to the final minutes of the Ducks/Stars game.

The when you have SopCast you can watch a whole bunch of other stuff. VoD channels gave me a little trouble but the live channels worked just fine. There are ads but online images while the stream first buffers.

Slug-Lines.com

Years ago I found myself at the Pentagon Metro stop. I think I went from Fair Lakes to Ballston to the Pentagon to Springfield for like 2 bucks but it took forever. Anyways I noticed people stopping by picking up random people from the bus stop to meet HOV rules. “Genius!” I thought. So every day I stood at the edge of the Metro stop to be the first selected and it cut 45 minutes off my commute. I’ve seen people lining up all over NoVA doing this.

Today I took HOV home and at the on ramp there were a bunch of people with signs. Some said “610″. One said “17″. I assumed these were route numbers but I didn’t stop to ask. It was 6:30. I didn’t need to pick anyone up.

So I looked up what these signs meant online. I was right. “610″ is Route 610 in Stafford. “17″ is Route 17 in Fredericksburg. It’s called “slugging”.

There are a few slug lines on the way to my place. “Bob’s” aka old Circuit City or Long John’s, Daventry and Cardinal Forest. The other Springfield ones are around the corner. Like Rolling Valley and Huntsman.

I think I might start participating more often. Even if it’s a free service I’d provide and still have to pay for gas and parking myself. It’s the faster way to work and home.

Stuff White People Like

I never knew but, it’s all true, mostly. I do love me some ___ ___ (Hint:#69). Not 69 with #69 but you know what I mean. I’ll just shut it before I dig a deeper hole. I also believe this is just a list and not a countdown to number 1.

“This is a scientific approach to highlight and explain stuff white people like. They are pretty predictable.“

800notes.com

Here’s another web site that I’ve used from time to time. If you get a call from an unknown number you can look up the number here to figure out who the F they were or wanted. The site is getting a little bigger and is starting to include news and articles. Just one more site you should know and use.

Catalog Choice

Here’s a site that not only “green”, meh, but you can opt-out of all those unwanted catalogs that get sent to your house. I personally don’t have any catalogs sent to me but, well, maybe an NHL one but it comes once a year and it’s 20 pages thin.

Doing It Wrong

Got time to waste looking at pictures? Here you go. Here’s the pic that sold me on the site.

Microsoft Firefox

I was confused and scared all at once, now everything is better. I especially liked, “Microsoft offers the best implementation of its web standards. Period.” I’m also looking forward to the new RSS features.

I also was going to download it but I only saw downloads for XP and 2003 Server. Dammit!

Felon Spy

Man, I knew you could look up sex offenders. Now with the ease of Google Maps?! We’ve go a couple kid touchers, some vehicular manslaughter, some kidnappings, some sodomy. You know. Your average neighbors.
